The Ice Wall

This journal entry is based on a novel, 'The Ice Wall' written by Yasushi Inoue, Japanese novelist. This is a fiction. Recently we are having a telly series.
Two rock climbers attempted to clime Mt K2 and one of them was missing in action ( it was unclear he was alive or dead over the fall from the rock ) One returned(A) to Japan and testified the cause of his(B) accident was the break of the hook that fastened the ropes. Maker of the hook opposed to the idea and started claiming that the climer(B) killed himself by cutting the rope by himself and tried to ask those who concerned to testify he(B) was heartbroken before starting to climb Mt K2. Many people started doing so but the returned one(A).
Mr A was sued over his testimony millions of dollars, but Mr A keeps on insisting the cause of his(B) death was a broken hook.
We have 6 times series, now we finished watching 4 times already and we are not sure what the ending will be. But following is my assumption.
After 6 months of his accident, he(B) was found alive in a local hospital. Mr A's testimony was confirmed.
That's it.
Sometimes there are cases it's worth keeping the right of the presumed dead, but still this story only tells us the importance to keep the right of the living. Since he(B) was alive after all.
Probably the title 'Ice Wall' indicates the wall unable to overcome, a limitation of human nature.
I'm going to watch the series tonight.
