Beethoven Critique

Always around the end of the year, we Japanese like to sing or hear 'The Delight' by Beethoven. Not only this song but others like 'Eroika' Beethoven's song typically lacks the variety of melody. One song has one melody only and its endless repetition. This is a true figure of Beethoven's work. I don't evaluate his songs.

Confucious as well as other figures like Buddha, Socrates lived in the same era -around 5 BC. It's interesting to see these figures reached the similar conclusion -the middle of the road (In Greek it's not Socrates, but in Aristotles though ).
Confucious was a tall man -180 cm, educated all by himself. Analects was believed to be started being editted while still he was alive. It's not written by him since we know the steady expression at the beginning of the axiom as 'the master said..'
Confucious, Buddha both lived up to 80, Socrates to 71. Jesus was crucified at age 30 something. The teachings of Confucious was ethics in short.

Some people don't like spiders, so-called they are arachnophobia. But I don't particularly loathe these creatures. Of course if they have poison, it would be better to avoid touching. But in this case too I will let them go somewhere outside the room. Back in my city it's not what happened in my room, though, in lower areas I had found centipedes. If we were bit by this, we are likely to have inflammation on the skin but it rarely leads to more severe cases. If spiders were trantula, we will feel very shocked.
It's interesting to observe how various creatures are taken in different societies, for example, dragon was a good sign in Asia. In some belief spiders, gekkoes are thought to be a sacred keeper in household.
Australia has huge desert in hinterland, Sydney was one of few exceptions in the continent. In desert those creatures might enjoy their lives in full swing. But I was unable to encounter those creatures in central Sydney.

Now I learned all four gospels were written in at least 50 at the earliest or 110 at the latest. My first question is why Jesus's life wasn't written down right after his crucification. My second question is why there are four similar copies of the descriptions of his life. There are many speculations on these questions.

For me there are too many things that weren't verbalised, our mind, our history, our dream, etc. All are unable to verbalise, but they all exist. We only verbalise a part of it and it comes to be literature. In his view there are two possible explanations. One is his language skill was extremely well so he could express almost everything what he thought. The other one is his inner world was extremely poor, almost nothing, so he was merely able to express his dark unfruitful world. I suspect the latter case. Many years ago, it was probably twenty or something some politician called the media the fouth power. Jurisdiction, administration, legislation, and media. At least at that time when I heard that I thought it's merely an exaggeration. But these days while I've been looked at the current social situations closely, as if all are related to the contents media report. Mr Horie started appearing television suddenly and probably kept on appearing too many times. He became a youngster's idle. I don't know he really violated the law, but at least from ordinary people's point of view, he did nothing wrong. But he appeared television too many times, I assume he was targetted by jurists. He was arrested and indicted because his appearances made some people grow some assumption, that is 'he must have violated some law for he came to be an internet tycoon in such a very short period'. I guess there was such an assumption in it. The power of media creeps up to not only the minds of the general public but also those of those who hold power in jurisdiction. The power of media surpasses some of other powers every now and then.

He was born through virgin Mary. So obviously no one knows what date he was born in the first place.

Who Made The Biggest Giveaway?

The Riddle Of Christmas
2006.12.27 2:42

For a few days before Christmas Day and after the day I've been reading many articles regarding the origin of Christmas. Usually we were told that Christmas is a birthday of Jesus, but why Christmas, not Christbirthday?
In some countries, especially in Latin countries like France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the word for Christmas is directly derived from the birth of Jesus. The word for Christmas is Noel, Natal, Navidad, Natale respectively all mean Jesus's birth. In the first place was really Jesus born on the Christmas day? Many records suggest that the date Jesus was born is the 6th of January and this day has been celebrated as Epiphany, so why on Chiristmas day people celebrate Jesus's birth I boubt?
On the other hands, the Christmas means literaly Christ's mass, mass is a liturgy and usually held weekly or annually to commemorate the significance of sacrifice Jesus himself made. Jesus said at the Last Supper just before his crucification that we ought to hold Communion or Eucharist to commemorate -red wine is for His Blood and bread is for His Body, so if we were a Christian we ought to hold this ceremony, so Christmas has reason itself to be held, but why is it held on the 25th of December? I still can't get it.
Historically speaking Jesus's crucification took place after Passover, so generally it is taken for granted that the date of Jesus's death is April, or from late March to early May. Easter falls on the same season naturally. From a bibliographical description the 25th of December was celebrated as the birthday of Jesus as early as 354 so the history is not new at all.
Probably the date of his death was able to be specified, that is around April. Some early Christians believe that the date of the death of Jesus ought to be the same as the date of his conception in Mary, therefore nine months after the date of conception or crusification ought to be the date of his birth, so 25th of December is believed to fall on his birthday. This is a little bit unnatural explanation though. Another explanation is because 25th of December is winter solstice, the length of day starts longer from this day, the birth of Jesus is the birth of new hope in humankind. The day commemorates the start of prevailing hope.
Four days have passed since I started thinking about the meaning of Christmas. Christmas Day always makes us think the importance of giveaway. His biggest gift to us was his blood and body, Christmas commemorates his biggest giveaways anyway. Happy merry Christmas!

We went to coffee shop called Trecca following her lead. She ordered American coffee, and I followed. At age 25 I was a still 15 year boy. She was 23 and already matured. We both were senior -fourth grade University students. One year and a half before we met first I called her up then I knew she planed to go to the graduate school in America. After one year and a half, she quit and decided to work in Tokyo. I was the only one who went to America to study furthermore. After one year after I went to America, I secretly went home to see her. She was working in an office at central Tokyo. I watched her closely many times from the coffee shop called Doutor. This coffee shop was located just opposit to the building she worked over the road. I watched her working there, but I was unable to call her any more. I tried to do so millions of times, but only to fail. I realised we both lived in a completely different world. Two lines came near very closely but never crossed. Two lines took the different direction and will never cross forever.

I started writing poems at age 14. This time I started not being told by anyone. I started sponteneously. I left tens of hundreds of drafts, and at age 15 I made up my mind firmly to be a novelist in my life.

I started publicising my first thesis at age 15 in some journal (Not Slashdot) and till at age 19 I published my two literal writings. I did what I could do only in my highteens. I was known to some literary people in Tokyo before I go to college.

I'm satisfied, and I hadn't been satified to stay in Japan's writer. At age 20 I decided to start learning English by myself to be an internetional writer.

My pinnacle is yet to come, but if I keep on pursuing my way I will be sure to achieve.

I had been just unable to adopt harmoniously those things in my mind. Here's the word I remember from my lost manuscripts, that is ' My self will end up submerging if this situation goes on.'
Writers are very sensitive, susceptible, vulnerable, fragile. In other words in better words, very systematic. I have to keep myself healthy first, then I will encounter something different from me, as far as these don't affect me unwell, I can adopt.
For me girlfriends have been playing as something different from me. If I cannot assimilate them, I have to kick them out.
I lost all my manuscripts from at age 14 to 16, and indeed because this period fell on the days of crisis in my self, I lost them probably I didn't look back the days of self crisis any more. They were not deliberately thrown away, though, which is as good as I threw away. Because I just left them deep inside the storespace, so no one noticed these were the manuscripts.

Vomitting, diarrhoea. It's not serious. This is mainly caused by food poisoning. It takes up to one week to recover, but usually everyone can get well. We can find this virus in clams, oysters. As you know we have long tradition to eat raw fish, also we prefer eating oysters in raw. This is neither SARS -severe acute respirately syndrome nor birdflu. It is a bit of exaggeration to say outbreak, though, the number of patients is very large.

Mockery Of Democracy

I attended some meeting as just a guest, participant, outsider, observer, or onlooker. One master of ceremonies asked in front of us whether they should move their property to individual's property, this time to the head of the group. He said, please raise your hand if you think it's alright. It was 5 or 6 out of 25 attendants who agreeed to this arrangement. I completely thought that the proposal was rejected. However, he said again, please raise your hand if you disagree with this proposal. This time no people raise their hands. He said, consequently we decided to move the group's property to the ownership of the head of the group.

Needless to say, secret ballot ought to be used to decide such an important issue that relates to money.

Ten years ago to show pubic hair in photo was thought to be obscenity and those who published these photos were arrested without exception in Japan. But now it is generally accepted to show this hair in photo and we can see many nude photos that show this. When 'hair nude' was allowed, the authority explained the concept of obscenity changes as time goes by. As I assumed in my previous JE, if hair is to protect from something the pubic hair is to protect organ itself from being seen publicly. Can you imagine how the society of Japan was under cultivated? And there are still many strange obstacles before modernisation.

Once I thought about why hair remains in three parts of our body. Head hair, hair under armpit, and puberty. In the first place, hair exists to protect something. Head hair is to protect from strong sunshine in a subtropical area, from extreme cold in cold area. Hair under armpit is to protect sweat in the area. Puberty hair is to protect from opposit sex's curious eyes.

This is the fact of natural selection.

If they are really independent, they ought to have a military. Japan's pacifist constitution declares not to hold any weapons except for pure defence purposes. I think this has been worked well in the process of reconstruction after the war. They could only concentrate on economy. The problem of Japan's having a military is they might start using it for real invasion. America was really afaid of Japan's remilitalising after the war. Therefore America shackled Japan by imposing this article. It might be natural for Japan to dissolve this shackle some day, though, the problem is Japan is not matured enough to have a military yet. This country needs more fundamental change other than military, which involves the change of spiritual structure from the bottom of their heart. Furthermore the constitution will be changed. The article No.9-2 that declares the abandonment of war will be changed particularly. Japan will be able to hold military. Japan's self defence force will be Japanese Army again.

There are 1.5 million Korean descendants who live in Japan, in which some population from North origin have been also persecuted in Japan. But the trade with North Korea has been not so common, North Korean descendants are already very Japanese, so I don't think those measures cause some notable effect.
From military viewpoint, Japan has patriot missile system, this system is meant for defence, missile against an opponent's missile. Besides Japan has Aegis, which can destroy 12 opponent's missiles at the same time. Aegis is equipped in US and Japan only. So even if North Korea declared the ownership of nuclear weapons, that doesn't automatically become an imminent threat to any country.
Japan doesn't hold nuclear weapons, but there are five US military bases in Japan. US military is nuclear equipped. So Japan was kept under the umbrella of nuclear weapons. North Korea was in a hurry to develop nuclear weapons because of this overwhelming US military presence in the region.

The Role Of Nation

There's no racial identity here- almost no national identity

The concept of a nation in Japan became merely clear only after 1868, we might as well consider Japan before that period was a confederation. It's a myth if someone thinks Japan is formed by one people, one language. There were many people who speak so many different languages. But politics made us feel we are united, one people in one nation. In the first place it's just an illusion.

There's still one- your people cooperate. Americans don't. Hardly at all.

Yet I must agree that Japanese people are very submissive to central authority. Americans are not. Americans are independent people who own their own view in many matters. But This is not a sign of discord. This is a sign US has a dynamism as a nation. It's very important. For if one despot appears, all nationals tend to totally agree with him, then sometimes that leads to total devastation as we had before. Japanse people dont think themselves, instead they prefer letting someone think. They just follow.

but does that mean we have to give up the smaller community for the larger one?

Japan's role in international politics has been greatly reducing for recent a couple of years. It seems America, China, UN have been emerging as a practical decision making body in global politics very rapidly. Small community is worth preserving. The aim of politics is to realise the maximum happiness for more people.

Last night I watched the movie The Last Samurai, for the first time. This movie is a fiction, but there's a model for this figure.
He was so fixed in old good days of samurai warrior period. He was chosen to be an Emperor's personal advisor though he refused to give away the sword -the symbol of samurai spirit.
Finally 500 hundred members of his troops were completely devastated by guns.
He was unable to adjust the new circumstances, though he knew that the system he clung to was to fade away. Yet he was unable to surrender to the new system.
I think he represents the spirit of Japanese people right now. They know their system is completely obsolete, but they can't change their way of living, thinking. It is not their fault, though, they ought to yield. It happens regardless of whether they are wrong or not.

I don't think Japan's participation is required. Japan, South Korea always take sides with the America's view. Although South Korea is slightly more sympathetic since they are same people. Russians have less concern over the area. These three countries might be taken in talks, but it's because they are needed just in order to strike a balance.
For China, on the other hands, the relationship between North Korea and America is important as if it were their internal affairs. But I guess no countries are so serious about this area. A nation is not eternal. There's a time the concept of nation is quite a big, on the other hands there's a time the concept as a nation is fading away. Right now Japan has no millitary power, the self-defence force is a kind of police power. Diplomacy completely follows America. Now it has been more and more hard to find the features that form the unique characters as an independent nation.
There's another point. The existence of nation is established under the basis that the power of nation is much stronger than that of individuals. Japan used to be so. Now the power of private wealth has been about to exceed the limit of national border. This is based on a system of capitalism. Instead the role of government has been smalller and smaller these days.

The age of gigantic battleships and big guns were already gone at that time, yet stupid Japanese were making two gigantic battleships. One battleship was used at the end of war. That was her virgin voyage, but it turned to a funeral ship. Only few realised the war in battleship was already obsolete. The very person who devised the operation Pearl Harbour developed the new 97 fighter whose speed was 371km/hr, previously the maximum speed 96 fighter made was 280km/hr. Aircrafts were about to play a main role at war.
I titled the cruelty of war for this article, because I suspect battleships were unnecessary white elephant at the beginning of that war. Simply they saved millions of dollars for the scrap of the battleships.
As to submarines, I didn't know that. From the experience they suffered from Untersee Boot, they might have learned the decisive effect and so kept almost all of them from the attack.

The effective ingredients of Tamiflu was found from Chinese traditional medicine 'eight horns' -I wrote it before. Chinese people usually don't extract effective ingredients from natural materials, in this case it's a horn. They use it as it is. They grind it and make powder. They take it through mouth.
In the first place they observed the phenomenon of nature closely and learned through empirical rules, probably they might have eyewitnessed that some animal took it and got recovered from the illness, etc.
Western culture take more positive way. They synthesise the chemical material, and try giving it to some animals. When they were able to certify the effectiveness of medicine, finally they conduct a clinical trial. Chinese empirical method will give them a hint which material to research.

Dispatched Labour

Dispatched labour had been prohibited from the perspective of labourer protection. Dispatched labourer had no health insurrance, bonus, promotion, etc.,yet dispatched labourere has been increasing rapidly recently. The law might have been changed, or just there might have a loophole for it.

The reason of this shift is clear. There's few labourers to protect in company, so the gap between dispatched workers and regular ones has been narrower. Whomever hired, that doesn't make differences any more.

Same thing. Money has no special colour for gap tariffs and sales tax.
Methinks there's a similar problem in both countries. There are many made in China in American stores. JCPenny orders thousands of boots from China. Goods are subject to being brought to America via aeroplane, but after being taken everything into considerations, goods are made in China and being shipped to America. Because they can realise the competitive price than their domestic counterpart. It is wrong if we think domestic products will be protected if gap tariffs were implemented. The change of industry structure might occur, but it helps nourishing the new industry that is not susceptible to the menace of foreign competitive goods.

Reading that, one could understand why he would write such a letter.
Thanks for the confirmation.
all the more remarkable for having been written in secret.
He had been writing his novel in a piece of paper. When I stumbled upon him at age 20, I thought that was only possible because the letter he used was an alphabet. I mean I would be unable to come up with such a great literal work if I had to use the complicated combinations of ideogams and imperfet phonetic signs. I started learning English at age 20, his work was the very motivation I started learning English.
He is a novel prize winner. I feel firmly certain that I will be awarded in novel prize for literature soon.

Why Memories Of The Dead Is Good?

I often notice people often recall a dead person as a good figure like he was a good guy, etc. Why?

Because they don't do harm any more. The living people tend to recall only good memories that they had with him when he was alive. They certainly have a nostalgia that they can't see him any more.

Theophilline

The medicine theophilline is used to asthma patients, but it were prescribed in infants, that is subject to causing spasm. If it lasted long hours like 2.5 hours, it is subject to causing acute encephalitis.

Be careful.

Solzhenitsyn's Wife

Solzhenitsyn was famous for his literary work 'Gulag Archipelagoes ' ' In First Circle' , and once he was put in Gulag for a long time. From there he wrote a letter to his wife in which he told her not to wait him. She said she wanted to hear that he wanted her to wait but instead he sent her a farewell letter. She thought he had already lost his love to her, so she separated from him.

If he thought he can't give her a happiness because he was isolated in Gulag, which means he doesn't love her any more. If it's replaceable, we didn't call it 'love'.

More than seven years ago, I divorced.
I was unable to forgive just one lie she mad before we got married. I was revealed several days before marriage, since then I had been unable to have relationship with her. After we got married we just had relationship a couple of times but any more. Our marriage ended after one year and three months. Total period of our human relationship was only two years and three months. I kept on refusing to have relationship with her even if I was asked many times -more than ten times. Finally she gave up. We kept on living in the same house after her reveletion, but our relationship never restored.
I was unable to forgive just one lie she made. I didn't tell any lies to her. All the more I was unable to forgive her lie. At least at that time. Finally we divorced. What was her lie? She told me her age was 24, but actually she was about to be 30. We got married three days before she became thirty.
Telling a lie is bad thing. But not telling a lie is even worse.

2006.12.07 4:24

Practitioner of dialysis in Japan counts 257765 people, in which 11800 people has been wanting a kidney transplantation. Only 994 people were able to receive the kidney plantation.
Kidney has been bought by living body in some South Asia countries. Usually Japanese recepients pay 5000 to 6000 dollars to agents, in which 2000, sometimes 1000 dollars are paid to its donners.
In some countries, kidney transplantation costs 50000 to 70000 dollars including margin to agents.
Kidney tranplantation from other people is not permitted publicly in Japan.

Gap Tariff System

Gap Tariff System
2006.12.07 3:54

This is one of the effective protectionist's measures.
Usually domestic products are more expensive than foreign goods, so our government impose the higher tariff on import goods so as to protect the benefit of domestic industry. For example, Scotch, Bourbon are much cheaper than domestic conterpart. To make matters better, the taste is also better. So Japanese people are willing to buy Scotch, Bourbon. Therefore gap tariffs exist. Owing to the gap tariff system, people buy any whiskies indiscriminately. The price of both whiskies are almost the same.
It is easily recognisable if they were the cases of liquor, chocolate, etc., but in the case of pork, it is just hard to distinguish between domestic pork and imported one. So if the importer says this pork is domestic one pointing to imported pork, everyone can't help trusting that the one is domestic. Thus they didn't have to pay 'gap tax' that was supposed to pay. They saved 150 million dollars. But they didn't keep it in their safe, they reflected it on the price of pork and the pork they sell has been kept at low price.
Who was most benefitted? Consumers were. The head of company was arrested, but the Department of Agriculture started considering the change of the law.

Exactly that's what I'm saying.
According to some record left by one diplomat from Japan, in 1919 the production of cars in America is a hundred times as many as that of Japan and the production of oil is one hundred and fifty times as much as that of Japan. He said Tokyo would be burnt out three times if Japan start fighting against America. He spent in America for two years and came back. He kept on insiting that the war against America is very stupid, yet he had to fight a war against America. He was the very man who devised the blitz at Pearl Harbour in 1941.
I think it's already obsolete that we evaluate someone only from their nationality. I now command a workable English thanks to you or other internet users, for me to be Japanese is just one attribute, not mean much.

The Fate Of Japanese

The Fate Of Japanese
2006.12.04 23:40

When American writes the word 'slave', they use five strokes. Japanese have to write 21 strokes for this word in Japanese.
Japanese people work very hard, usually 12 hours in a day, 60 hours in a week. But Americans are able to do the same amount of job for 8 hours in a day, 40 hours in a week. In ordinary time we can hardly see the difference since Japanese work extra 4 hours in a day, and 20 hours in a week, but once in time of emergency, Americans work 12 hours in a day. Obviously Japanese cannot afford to work for 16 hours in a day. In ordinary time Japanese are already working at full swing. They can nothing for it but to explode in time of emergency.
The fate of Japanese is clear. They need to be enslaved before soon.

In December, do teachers start running? You know the reason? The name of this month in Japan's ancient term is 'Teacher Runs'. I have to run.

Being Famous

If those who are well-known to the people they usually belong to, they are famous. Those who appear in television, newspaper have nothing to do with being famous. They are not famous as long as they are outside the realms of my world.

One Time Visitor

Two days ago past midnight I watched the movie 'Ichigensan' from 2 am to 4 am. This movie was a very impressive movie. A love between a foreign student from Switzeland and a woman who graduated from the same university one year ago. After they made love a couple of times, he went back to Paris to be a journalist after he graduated from *** University. His major was Japanese literature.

After one year of leave after she graduated from the same university, she chose to engage in a job in Tokyo. Thus they had to separate one another.

'Ichigensan' means those who visit pub or restaurant only one time and no more. Here's the link if you are interested.

I Found

I found the piece of paper which describes what I wanted to write. That says ' Fate Of Japanese', I will write about it in the next journal.

Star

My profile here has been seen in more than 1000 people. That's what I think I am famous.

I didn't want to be famous. -This expression connotes two different senses. One is I didn't want to be famous, so I am not famous now. And the other is I didn't want to be famous, but in spite of that I am famous now. So just the expression 'I didn't want to be famous' means either way.

The truth is I am not famous at all now. But I have started being known to many population through the Internet since two years ago. So I will be inevitably known to many people in the end, though I didn't want to be famous.

Ths truth is I was very famous when I was in school only inside school. I have been totally unknown to any one after I graduated. The reason I was only famous in school is because for me there was everything. Right now for me Slashdot, MySpace are everything, you are my star and so am I, as well as Marxist Hacker 42.

Thanks for the link. I think they must interogate a really wicked one. But sometimes they cannot do justice against it, but they tend to target a new rich like Horiemon, Murakami. I noticed particularly in the case of Horiemon scandal, public prosecuters have been targetted him just because his activity was very noticeable and publicly known to many people, apparently he made a success in such a short period, etc. I believe their investigation is cleary based upon some presumption that he must have committed some unlawful conduct for he mad a success in such a short time. It's very unfair. I think his success is a real one, not based upon any criminal acts.

In a TV, Murakami, the head of Murakami Fund is fighting against his allegation of insider trading. Horiemon is fighting, too. Their opponents are common -Tokyo Public Prosecuters Office. This investigation agency is the strongest investigating body in Japan. Almost all members are Tokyo University graduates. Both Horiemon and Murakami are from this university. Public versus Private. Always Pubic won the fight in the past. But this time the consequence suggests outcome will be totally uncertain.
