Schism

Schism

Back in my university days, we had an English circle then. No one including a teacher couldn't tell the meaning of 'Schism' in vocabulary section in English test. One student (not mention who) raise his hand and answer that this word means 'something separation', the teacher shook his head slightly and said the word of disagreement. If this student were a history major, he must have known the historical event 'Great Schism'. This teacher was a lecturer of a measurement economy or something.
It seems he didn't realise the real schism in intelligence. Or the teacher showed his strange intelligence by showing strong disagreement in this case.
