Why Memories Of The Dead Is Good?

I often notice people often recall a dead person as a good figure like he was a good guy, etc. Why?

Because they don't do harm any more. The living people tend to recall only good memories that they had with him when he was alive. They certainly have a nostalgia that they can't see him any more.
