Philosophically or ethically speaking, life must have started millions of years ago on the globe or elsewhere in the universe. Biologically speaking, you are right, individual life starts at the moment of pregnancy. We all ought not to resort to abortion which stops the natural growth of individuals. But socially or economically speaking, life stats at the moment of their birth.
Eugenics is a science to prevent genetically defective ones from being giving birth and I understand this science has been used for the excuse of legal abortions, but it hasn’t be used to try terminating some species and it won’t. So it has little to do with the aim of abortions based on economy or private choice.
Of course I am pro-eugenics. Under the premise it be used in a careful and proper way.

Bible is written by prophets who was inspired by God. Pentateuch was written around the middle of 6 century BC, still Jewish people were under Babylonian captivity.
Bible is very human centric, but the fact is many spieces live together on the glove.
I bought New International Version in Manila. Expression is easy to understand, I like it.

Probably thousands of years ago a guy called Noah made an Ark and collected some animal spieces before flood comes. His family as well as animals survived, but he didn’t start eating animals he collected. He must have thought how to increase the number of animals in the first place.
Pork was prohibited to eat ancient times, because hogs ate many dirty matters as well then pork is believed to cause many disease in human body. Today there’s no fear like that, as a result we eat pork.
I think we’d better try to learn lessons from the descriptions in Pentateuch that would be applicable to today’s world.

A letter from America
2009.01.17 23:44

One of my close friends went to America, staying for a while. He sent me a riddle. Here's a part of his letter from America.
>After Noah and his family survived the flood, God now allows humans to eat animal meat (except the blood). But as you recall, there were only pairs of animals or each kind with seven. So if people would start eating animals right away, wouldn't some animals be extinct right away? No, because God provided a solution for these animals. The answer is in Genesis 9:2! Please check it out!
Genesis 9:2 from New International Version: The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.
Is this answer?
I think his style is concise and powerful, not bad.

Probably, so.
Mrs and Mr Mer have been in love for many years, I have stopped seeking for another love like so many years as well. If I lost her or if she said goodbye to me for unknown reasons, I'm sure I will be at a loss so sometimes I've got half a mind that love has been giving me an illusion -this happiness lasts for good, and will deprive me of everything if I rely on it too much.
As to Tillich's word, >Mankind is existentially estranged from the essential goodness of creation in God's image.
A woman was created from a man's rib, so we men seek for a woman to reclaim. Mankind is born to be perfect, but it is estranged because of the original sin they made. I understand these idea stand for Christian world view. But from scientific viewpoint all lives are originally only female and my viewpoint is humans are perfect because they made a mistake properly.
>essentially singular, but existentially plural.
Existence is prior to being.. Existentialism had been a fashion for a while after the war and also it was hard to understand. There were a number of atheistic existentialists as well as theistic ones, but their point was common - subjective judgement matters more than objective ones. I understand the phrase 'esentially singular, but existentially plural' means people are basically alone but they are happy when they are together in love.

Yes,it is.
Pretence to be dead is one of our biological defence instincts. That works when bombers are twelve o'clock high. I think I am under a strong inclination in this and that's why I am eager to lie down at twelve o'clock both at noon and midnight.
More scientifically speaking, it must be related to the gravity the sun gives off. We must be striking the balance at its strongest noon and weakest midnight by taking a rest or sleeping.

The riddle of twelve o'clock high

I always become sleepy at twelve o'clock midnight and I always feel like taking a rest and eating lunch at twelve o'clock noon.
I call this phenomenon a riddle of twelve o'clock high. Probably it relates to the height or position of of sun. This is a biological clock.

We have a point system, a shop gives us points that can convert into money to buy goods at the shop that issued and also it has expiration date. This is a new currency.Regional currencies are only valid in each country. This is a metro money in a sense. In recession we start thinking protectionist views as block economy and it led to war in the past. Plus don't forget the Gresham's law - bad money drives out good. Money plays an important role on medium of exchange only because it has fair values. You see a point system, metro money, and block economy - all are against the spirit of Gresham's law.

Even if your country is in debt at flow economy, she's got millions of hinterland behind the debt so still very rich at stock economy. The abundant land and natural resources as well as human assets stay as enchanting pawn for money lenders in other country.

The economic system of postwar Japan was called bureaucrat socialism. Current Chinese economic system is called state capitalism. Corporatism is a bud of fascism. Be careful.

As a teacher I had been forced to wear a necktie for a couple of years twenty years ago. They say it implies your trust. I always had gotten contact with people in general. Now I don't have to wear it because I work in a factory, where no need to see people.
A necktie is a symbolisation of male. By sublimating it in front of our chest, we can successfully hide our sexual desire.
I think there are some places and occasions we are required to wear it and also as a fashion we are free to use it but it is not something that we are obliged to at any time.

Their by-product becomes biofuels. This is nothing but an efficient use of their life circle. Life ought to be interdependent, not counterproductive.
Anyway I hope I can post a comment successfully next time.

I took four days off from 1st to 4th this January. It seems much shorter than that in American standard, but I appreciate that.As to skills, I have been holding the views that the integration of countless skills leads to the next stage of development. We call it a take-off.Hope this year be the year of take-off for us and for humans as well.

West or east are relative term only means from where we are located. If Asia means where civilisation comes from now US deserves its name. Japan is located far east from Europe, but obviously far west from the US. Now the glove turns one time. Happy new year!

I called one of my friends. She had already changed her number. It was about a year and three months ago that we met last time. We couldn't get along well at the occasion. I renewed my thinking still sticking to the past.Happy new year.

Well well... to be honest I hardly fulfilled any of the resolutions that I had set for myself in the year of 2008. It has been a very rough year for me... and I would say it has been the roughest year in the whole of my 24 years so far.But the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me this year was that I grew closer to God and I started life afresh in a new church, together with my favourite person in the world, Ben.Contrary to I had previously thought, going to church for worship is not such a dreadful thing. In fact it brings me peace in a time of insecurity. I know Ben has been feeling very happy inside because he probably still finds it hard to believe that there I am, standing just beside him and singing the hymns with him like never before. I've hardly changed in terms of my personality - my flaws are still sticking out like a sore thumb - but I think I have learnt to interpret religion on a different level, and together with this new understanding brings hope like never before. As such, year 2008 is coming to a close, and it being such an eventful year for me, for the world, let us hope for a brighter year ahead. And since I cant stop setting resolutions (aka expectations) for myself, here goes:For the year 2009, I would like to1) Return to where I was from and bravely face challenges in the face of adversity. 2) Grow closer to God, together with Ben. To serve Him and understand Him better.3) Bring my family and friends closer.4) Start planning for marriage. Get my future home.5) Improve (dramatically!) my cooking skills. 6) Stop thinking of the past.7) Learn to be more independent.8) Pick up new skills and improve on existing ones. Of course these are very generic - some are not even within my control. But like what Ben says, God knows me best and will plan the best for me, so I guess I should just learn to relax for once....

Hey Toh...take it easy!! I married 13 years ago. Since then my marital status has been giving me many responsibilities and obligations. Instead my wife has been feeling much secured. It's good to have some one who is more relying on me. That's what I think we are social being. Hope you be married in 2009!!Happy new year!
