The 7th Edition

The 7th Edition
2006.03.05 2:15

I went to the bookstore. There I found the 7th edition of Oxford Advanced Learner's English. The 6th was published in 2000, and the 7th was 2005, last year, probably I hadn't visited the bookstore for more than half a year. Because of that I delayed noticing it.
I still keep using the 4th edition, in many ways I recognise the one was based upon a very excellent editing policy. And 5th edition was good.
How about 6th and 7th? 7th was better than 6th, but it seems to me the revised one has been getting worse than the highest point reached by the 4th edition.
Please don't show examples of incorrect expressions any more. They are not only unnecessary but very harmful to intermediate users. Since we are unable to feel their incorrectness by instinct, we are liable to misunderstand they are examples of correct expressions. Editors might think they are doing kind things. But in fact they are deteriorating the excellent quality of the authoritative tradition. That's all what I want to say. Once again I relinquished obtaining the one.
