Torture was not developed as a form of interrogation first but as a form of punishment. Mr Horie has been in confinement for more than one month. He has not been accesible to PC. It might be not an interrogation but a punishment for him. He has been inevitably suffering from this punishment before he was found guilty.
The Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office won't admit his release until he admit his wrongdoing, as time goes by he would think he want to get out of the cell by admitting his wrongdoing just because he want to get out of the confinement. Here's a democratic country Japan, but still we have confinement of the doubt. Give him the benefit of the doubt, not confinement.
