Unified Field Theory

Wow, that surprised me. It’s all news to me!

When I was a junior high school student (50 years ago), I read a book titled "The Mystery of Gravity: An Introduction to General Relativity" from Blue Backs. It might have been a translation, and it was quite difficult for me. According to that book, we didn't really understand why objects are pulled toward each other yet.
Has science advanced since then?
I have heard that time slows down as you approach the speed of light, but could you explain the connection to gravity in more detail?
At the time, the explanation made sense to me: Special Relativity is a theory under conditions where gravity doesn't change, while General Relativity is a generalized theory that includes gravity. But today's explanation is much easier to understand.
Whether you are in a place with strong gravity (a state where light particles collide with something and stay there) or moving at high speeds (a state where light changes into a wave and moves forward), time slows down in exactly the same way (General Relativity).
What do you think of this correlation?
I think about how to connect these pieces every single day.
A principle that applies to both the macro and the micro—this is the Unified Field Theory that Einstein also struggled with.
It must exist. I will definitely find it.
