Colonial resistance in India was succesfully prevented by the arrival of machinegan. Already determined Japanese were surrendered unconditionally by then newest technology- atomic bombs.
These machine weapons enable politicians to make up their mind to war easier. I hope these weapons work deterrent to war. -This news was widely televised in this country, how about in US?

But then again, we've got a big Frankenstien complex at work over here- the military will use these weapons, but will keep it as quiet as possible from the population.--Instead of teaching our children the wrong example of genocide, go down in dignity and teach that we are stupid.

After I watched the news, I lookd for the similar articles in Wikipedia and Yahoo search but nothing I found. Swords are still in katana in antique Japanese in their entry. I managed to find the one in Google site, but it was still uneasy to find for those who knew nothing about it.
This weapon is just amaging and ideal for our side and hell for their side. America can eliminate enemy soldiers with virtually no casualities on US side. This is revolutionary and has been a dream for a long time. The authority didn't want to make it public especially afraid of being criticised by humanitalian point of views, but first of all any war is against humanity, let alnoe there's no humanity in a battle field.
Judging from all related news on North Korea both in the US and Japan, both sides( North Korea opposed to US and its allies ) already seem to make up their mind to the future conflict unless it changed its attitude drastically.
