Detergent In Well

This is one of my earliest memory. At age 3 or 4, I dropped a box of detergent with the intension of trying to sanitise the water in well. At that time we were obtaining water from well. And I remember many people were getting out of all the water with detergent from the well. I was unable to know why people abruptly started doing so.
