It's amazing just how quickly this post came up. I googled for some of the names that you'd mentioned in your post, and Bang! You were there on the first page!
It just shows how little these thinkers are known outside Japan, don't you think?
It's true that the academics of West and East are very different and just little are known to outside Japan.
What I learned was how different cultural basis is. Based on ideogrammatic culture here in the East, how to read his name in ideogram varies slightly from individuals.
This was the real story of behind it. Morosoph was right.
