According to Monocle magazine from Britain, 25 most comfortable cities in living are 1-Coppenhagen, 2-Munchen, 3-Tokyo, 4-Zurich, 5-Helsinki, 6-Wien, 7-Stockholm, 8-Vancouver, 9-Melborne, 10-Paris, ....17- Fukuoka, 20-Kyoto.
No cities from America, and Britain. I think this is a modest attitude often seen in Britain -American.
If I were a judge, I would place 1-San Francisco, 2-Vancouver, 3-Seattle, 4-Portland, 5-Baltimore, 6-Paris, 7-Sydney, 8-Munchen, 9-Milano, 10-Fukuoka, ...17-Tokyo, 20-Kyoto.
Monocle places Fukuoka as No.1 in shopping. They say peopel's sense is nice. Easy access to both the sea and mountain, food is nice, too.
