From the end of April to the beginning of May we have four different holidays at a time. Adding Saturday, Sunday and paid holiday workers chose, we usually take a rest about a week. This is called ' Golden week' and I though its counterpart in the West is Easter holiday. Probably 'resurrection' itself has nothing to do with the early spring, but aside from the religious meaning of Easter I think it is natural for us to take a rest in this season.
