The Hobson's Choice

Our country doesn't have an established kidney donation system, so those who want a donated kidney need to go overseas, or go to see a medical team formed by Dr Makoto Mannami 66.
The chronic nephritis patients who need a constant dialysis in Japan are 257,765 people, in which 11,800 people have been eagerly wanting a kidney transplantation. Among them only 994 people so far have been able to receive the kidney plantation surgery by using a kidney from their relatives. Kidney transplantation by using a kidney from other people is not permitted publicly in Japan.
So kidney has been bought various ways from living body in some South Asia countries. Usually Japanese recipients pay 5000 to 6000 dollars to agents, in which 2000, sometimes 1000 dollars are paid to its donors. In the case that involves some countries, kidney transplantation costs 50,000 to 70,000 dollars including margin to agents.
Otherwise they need to go see a medical team formed by Dr Makoto Mannami.
After educated in the US, he formed a regional group of kidney transplantation here that allows chronic nephritis patients who need a constant dialysis to receive a diseased kidney that was removed from other patient's body because it had a tumor or cancer in part of it.
This is the tragedy in a country that lacks what really needed for those who need the most.
