Parasite
When I was 40 years old, I was dating someone four years older than me.
She once said, ‘My only flaw is that I cannot love people.’ In the end, we stayed together for about two and a half years before breaking up. Can you understand the psychology of someone who says they cannot love?
She often showed a disdainful attitude toward me, such as calling me ‘the trash-takeout man.’ The reason we broke up was that she called me a ‘parasite’ while we were out together, which led me to walk away.
I am the type of person who always wants to love someone and work hard for them, so I wonder if her inability to love stems from some very deep emotional wounds in her past.
Because I loved her, part of me didn’t want to break up.
